Choked was a multifaceted project with an intriguing story. Anurag kashyap’s bold take on demonitization narrates the tale of a bank cashier who discovers a stash of
cash hidden in her kitchen sink. We were tasked with creating a title sequence as fascinating as the story itself.
Choked - Title sequence - concept, design, shoot, practical effects and 3d animation
We worked on seamlessly putting the story together by outlining the path of the wads of cash, down the drain, clogging it, and water poring out of the drain in another house.
We outlined a story for the title sequence and integrated motion graphics, typography and 3d animation into the shot footage, enhancing it.
The sound and music played an extremely important role in elevating the sequence, in introducing the film and establishing the mood.
Our Creative director, Mayank DHasmana, was also the VFX supervisor of Choked.
About 70% of the movie was done on chroma with over 200 vfx shots.
Our friends and long term collaborators, Philm Cgi came in as the official studio to handle the VFX.
As always, it was an incredibly fun and enriching experience to work with them.
